Coach testimonial
Coaches are running their online BJJ coaching programs on RollLab.
“For years, coaching remotely meant videos over text, cropping them down, WeTransfer, Google Drive — footage scattered everywhere. RollLab gave me the tools to finally run our program properly.”
Chris Noonan — Upper Twelve Jiu Jitsu & ALGN, New Jersey

Why RollLab exists
Built by a lifelong grappler.
I'm Andrew — an Aussie brown belt grappling since 2005, and I've competed across freestyle wrestling, BJJ and MMA over the years. I'm a software engineer by trade (and won AI Software Engineer of the Year 2025 🤓) and I built RollLab because the platform I wanted for my own match footage didn't exist. It turned out others had the same problem, athletes and coaches alike.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Who is RollLab for?+
RollLab is for both coaches and athletes. Athletes use it to organise and study their own rolling and competition footage. Coaches use it to run their whole team — every athlete's footage, video breakdowns, feedback and training resources in one place.
What does RollLab cost?+
Athlete accounts are free, and coaches pay a simple monthly fee per athlete in their team — and the bigger your team, the lower the rate for every athlete in it. Today's rates are introductory pricing, available until the end of September — create your account before then and they're locked in for you, along with your first month completely free and 25% off your first paid month. You'll only ever pay for athletes currently in your team.
Do I need to pay to get started?+
No. Athlete accounts are free, and coaches get their first month of RollLab Coach completely free, no matter the number of athletes.
Do my athletes have to pay anything?+
No, athletes do not pay. Coaches cover the plan for their team.
How does per-athlete pricing work?+
Your RollLab Coach plan tracks how many athletes are in your team, and your team size sets the per-athlete rate for the whole team: growing past 10 athletes drops everyone's rate, and past 25 it drops again (coaching more than 100? Talk to us). When you add or remove an athlete, your next invoice adjusts automatically. No lock-in — cancel any time.
What if I add or remove athletes mid-month?+
Your bill simply adjusts. You only ever pay for athletes actually on your team, for exactly the days they're on it. Add an athlete mid-month and their remaining days are added to your next bill; remove one and the unused days come off it. And if your team grows past 10 or 25 athletes, the lower rate kicks in for your whole team straight away — everything settles automatically on your usual monthly billing day.
What happens to my athletes if I stop my RollLab Coach plan?+
Nothing. Athletes always keep their own accounts and their own footage. A coach's plan only affects the coach's tools — never an athlete's access to their own library.
Who can see my footage?+
Only you, and the people you explicitly share it with. Athletes' libraries are private; a coach can only see an athlete's library after the athlete accepts the link, and access ends the moment either side removes it.
Can I have more than one coach?+
Yes. Athletes can link multiple coaches — say a BJJ coach and a strength & conditioning coach. Every coach can add footage and resources to your library, leave their own feedback, and discuss it all together so everyone stays on the same page. You control every link and can remove a coach at any time.
Is there a mobile app?+
Yes — the RollLab app for iPhone and iPad is out now on the App Store, and the Android app is in review. RollLab also works in the browser on any phone or laptop, so either way you can upload, watch and review from anywhere.
What footage works?+
All footage and file types are supported — training rolls, competition matches, any angle. Upload from your phone or laptop; RollLab handles the rest and everything plays back anywhere.
Do I need any special software to record commentary?+
No. Commentary is recorded right in the browser — play, pause and scrub the footage while you talk, with your webcam picture-in-picture, drawing pointers, circles and arrows on the footage as you go. RollLab bakes it all into a single shareable video, transcribed automatically.
